Job Description
About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with students in grades K-5. You’ll develop individualized education programs (IEPs), provide differentiated instruction, and collaborate with other educators and parents to support student success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Adapt curriculum to meet student needs
- Assess student progress regularly
- Collaborate with general education teachers
- Maintain accurate student records
- Communicate with parents/guardians
- Attend IEP meetings
Requirements
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- 2+ years experience working with special needs students
- Knowledge of IEP development process
- Patience and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple needs simultaneously
- CPR/First Aid certification
