About the Role
At GreatLakes Warehousing, our Logistics Coordinators act as the operational spine of our distribution centers. This role will manage inbound/outbound freight, coordinate cross-docking operations, and optimize inventory flow through our network.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily receiving and shipping operations
- Manage 3PL carrier relationships and performance
- Implement lean process improvements in freight handling
- Ensure accuracy in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation
- Resolve logistics discrepancies and shipment delays
- Train new staff on warehouse safety protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma required, logistics degree a plus
- 3+ years of warehouse management experience
- Knowledge of shipping carriers and DOT regulations
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Forklift certification preferred
