About the Role
West Coast Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to optimize our distribution center operations. Responsibilities include route planning, data analysis, and process improvement. This role collaborates directly with both operations teams and software vendors.
Responsibilities
- Analyze historical shipment data to identify trends and efficiencies
- Develop routing strategies using telematics platforms (Geotab/Fleet Complete)
- Implement warehouse management system (WMS) enhancements through Oracle integrations
- Prepare comprehensive inventory reports for quarterly board meetings
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment consolidation and demurrage avoidance
- Oversee order fulfillment accuracy through quality audits
- Train new hires on warehouse protocols and safety procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years logistics/warehouse management experience
- Proficiency with WMS software (Oracle, SAP SCM, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills using Excel/PowerBI/Tableau
- Cross-functional collaboration experience (ops, sales, IT)
- Familiarity with EDI transactions and AS2 protocols
- Forklift/pallet jack certification or willingness to acquire
