About the Role
We seek a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to inspire students in grades 9-12. As a key member of our science department, you’ll create engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance our math program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with national math standards
- Prepare students for state assessments and college entrance exams
- Maintain a positive learning environment conducive to student growth
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
- Participate in department meetings and professional development
- Manage classroom supplies and budget allocations
- Mentor aspiring student teachers through our partnership program
Requirements
- State teaching certification in Mathematics
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in urban public schools
- Proficiency with Google Classroom and adaptive learning software
- Strong classroom management and behavior modification techniques
- Cross-curricular collaboration skills with science and engineering departments
- Commitment to student equity and bilingual education (preferred)
