About the Role
Teach high school students math courses, develop lesson plans, and assess student progress. Impact students’ understanding and appreciation of mathematics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards.
- Assess student performance through tests, quizzes, and projects.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to improve curriculum.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students as needed.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or Mathematics.
- Teaching certification in the state of employment.
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
- Knowledge of current educational technologies.
