About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Math Teacher for grades 9-12 at Liberty High School. Create engaging math curricula that develop problem-solving skills across algebra, geometry and statistics. Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel supported in their learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards
- Assess student performance through regular quizzes, tests and projects
- Provide personalized support to students struggling with concepts
- Communicate student progress to parents/guardians through conferences
- Integrate technology into lessons to enhance student engagement
- Advise math clubs and mentor students pursuing STEM opportunities
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development sessions
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential with math authorization
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field
- 2+ years of experience teaching high school math preferred
- Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry and statistics concepts
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying backgrounds
- Comfortable using educational technology and classroom management software
